Bad move, ClickThinking
I was excited this morning when I read on Green Cars about Optimal energy's re-designed website. They recently launched their electric car the 'Joule'. Except when I clicked through to the optimal energy site it looked awfully familiar. Apparently this didn't escape Damien Du Toit (the owner of the coda identity). Apparently the background image is a direct copy paste probably even ends up as the same hash.
It is completely despicable, unethical, immoral. I am sure optimal energy are unaware of what ClickThinking did, but I hope they get wind of it.
I suppose it should be unsurprising that ClickThinking also uses javascript to add onclick events to their 'navbar' made of div's, instead of, I dunno, anchors? Is HTML still HTML if you don't actually make use of anchors?
UPDATE: Based on the comments below and re-reading the above paragraph, I realise it is not clear that when I rip into the JS menu I am talking about the JS menu on ClickThinking, not the menu on Optimal Energy site

I have a feeling it might not work straight out of the box because of the loaders external nature to the application. So unless the application downloaded knows to grab all the other files to create the loader or the files are referenced by their full location, I just don't think this method would work.Army Surplus

Hey man, there's nothing wrong with that nav (or any other links on that page).. it uses standard anchor tags.
It also doesn't use java script on the nav.. it seems like a CSS style bottom border was used for the rollover state :)
Yes, the design is a pretty blatant rip.. but I don't think there's a reason to trash the code.. it all seems fine to me (and I do this for a living)

Please turn javascript off, and load their homepage up. Okay, now, notice how the website NO LONGER WORKS. Now imagine you are a javascript ignorant google bot, or a blind person, or using a cell phone, or a text based browser. I think, if you put yourself in those shoes you might find that I have a pretty good point.

I realise my gut punches about their JS menu is out of scope of the argument at hand. My point is that it is unsurprising that a company that doesn't understand the nuances of HTML, JS, and CSS also doesn't understand or respect copyright or attribution.
